AREA RESIDENTS: PLEASE FILL OUT OUR SURVEY! We are gauging interest in enrichment classes at the Michigamme Township hall for area residents.
FREE Home Upgrades up to $20,000: The State of Michigan is funding a program for single-family homeowners and renters in the surrounding areas. FY 2025-2026 Annual Budget: The Michigamme Township’s final, approved budget for the fiscal year covering April 1, 2025-March 31, 2026, was approved March 27, 2025. For details, click on each funds attachment (General, Fire & EMS, Community Building, Sewer, Road, DDA).

EVENTS AND HOURS OF OPERATION
Foot Care Clinic: On the second Thursday of every even month during the year, there is a foot care clinic available to all located in the Community Building Card Room.
Workout Room: The Community Building is open Monday-Thursday for residents to access the workout room at your leisure when the building is staffed.

2026 Michigamme Township Meeting Dates: Here is the 2026 meeting schedule for all boards, commissions, and departments. Copies can be picked up at the Township Office.
2026 Garbage & Recycling Schedule: Here is the 2026 pick-up dates for garbage and recycling. Garbage pickup has an earlier start time, so have your bins out by 6:00 AM Thursday mornings. Copies of the schedule can be picked up at the Township Office.
Press Release: Michigamme Township has been awarded a Community Energy Management (CEM) Grant through Michigan’s Environment Great Lakes and Energy (EGLE).
Public Notice: Video surveillance cameras have been installed in Township buildings and property.
Assessor Info: The Assessing Department would like to remind residents that fieldwork throughout the Township is ongoing. The Township Assessor may need to enter your property to gather information and verify dimensions, but they will never need to enter any structure. If you recently purchased your property or built a structure, please expect a site visit or inspection. The best way to get a hold of Justin is by email, assessormichigamme@gmail.com. Ishpeming Senior Center: The Ishpeming Senior Center serves people 60 and over in our township too! Services and programs are available to assist seniors in living independently including homemaking, healthy meals, rides to doctor appointments, financial assistance, and much more!
