Michigamme-Spurr EMS
Michigamme and Spurr residents and visitors alike continue to reap the benefits of having a top-notch First Responder team here. Since its inception in 1978, 43 people have served as responders. Our EMS volunteers work in cooperation with the Ishpeming Ambulance Service, now run by Bell Memorial Hospital. Our EMS volunteers have received extensive training in emergency medicine. We know that our lives often depend on their abilities. Their job is difficult and stressful, and our communities are truly grateful for their dedication.
