Spring & Fall Clean-up
Keeping our community clean and beautiful is important to Michigamme Township. The Township offers Spring and Fall Clean-up events to give residents and property owners an opportunity to dispose of bulky household items and other unwanted materials that are not accepted through regular garbage collection. Dumpsters are available during scheduled dates and times to help make seasonal clean-up convenient for the community.

Dumpster Information
Dumpsters will be available during the scheduled Spring and Fall Clean-up dates and times. Residents may be asked to provide proof of property ownership or residency, such as a recent tax statement or ID.
Hours and dates will be posted when available. In the Spring and Fall, you can find the dates for the clean-up on the News & Announcements webpage.
Accepted Items
The clean-up dumpsters are intended for bulky household waste and general clean-up materials.
Items Not Accepted
The following items will not be accepted during clean-up events:
- Hazardous materials
- Septic tanks
- Gas tanks
- Shingles
- Complete buildings or demolition materials
- Batteries and tires
- Yard waste or brush
Appliances Containing Freon
Appliances containing Freon will be accepted for an additional fee. Payment must be made prior to disposal.
Junk Vehicles and Scrap Metal
Junk vehicles and certain scrap metal items may be taken to local salvage or recycling facilities in the area. Please contact the Township office for additional information.
Additional Information
Please help keep the clean-up area organized by following posted instructions and directions from Township staff or volunteers. Dates and additional details may change based on availability and weather conditions.
